Fishy Therapy and Dry Swimming

Went to Chinatown yesterday and had fish therapy + a detox session. It's really quite worth it, although the detox session resulted in us soaking our feet in super disgusting brownish water that actually emnated from within us, so ewww... But the fish therapy thingy was fun - ticklish at first especially when they started nibbling under the soles of our feet. And at $13 per half hour, that was quite a deal. But coupled with the detox session, also lasting half an hour, the entire session only cost us $20. It was quite an experience actually - we ended up feeling refreshed and with fairer and smoother feet.

By the way folks, Dan's dad will be opening an eatery stall (economic rice) in the old Chinatown market, so do patronise it when you can. I'll prob be going down to help him out in the June hols, so if u do want to pop by for some munchies, don't forget to drop by!

So after the fish therapy, we went over to Bedok for some doggie therapy. First up, Nicholl, Wellin's adorably manja poodle. Then went over to Amanda's place for the next doggie - Chip - who was rather afraid of us cos I think I scared him when I picked him up immediately at the door and tried to fling him up in the air. He got so scared that he kept hiding under the table, away from me. But he warmed up later and became adorable pup that kept scrambling around the house while we played mahjong - the noobs at one table, and the pros at the other. It was quite interesting - that's the closest that I've ever gotten to playing mahjong in a 'gambling den' setting. But then again, the noobs table wasn't playing with money, so yeah...

Supper was provided by the oh-so-kind-and-oh-so-adorable Sheryl. Well, not really provided but she did go out and help us purchase the food anyways - in the form of carrot cake. Apparently she had such a hard time ordering it in her half-pass Mandarin skills that the Chinese national working there had no idea what she wanted, till she pointed the picture of the dish. Tsk tsk... another amazing feat by our dear Sheryl. Oh, and this adorable girl still insists on the existence of the TRUE story of Gullimard's Travels... aiks! I never knew there was a local version of the famous Swift's novel, Gulliver's Travels.
