Moving Tmr!

Woke up at 7am, although I don't have any classes today. Been worrying about the great shift, which takes place tmr. I didn't even know that Tuesday was to be the last time I'd be sleeping in my parent's place, on my bed in my room - the very room that I've stayed in, gotten comfy in for the past 8 years. At least not until I have a reason to go back there and stay overnight in the future. But then again, if I had known, what would I have done differently? Stayed in bed longer? Hah! I doubt so, not with my timetable. But I think that my room won't be my room anymore once I shift out - my bro's eyeing it as an upgrade from his tiny storeroom.

Not everything has been going smooth for the move - a lot of money has been spent, and a lot of time and worrying as well. Works on the house aren't as fantastic as we thought it was initially, and a lot of touching up needs to be done, probably even after we move in. Hey, we pay u the moolah, u do the job for us - that's the deal. Wrote down a list of disgrunts (yes sir, yes sir, one page full) with the contractor that I'll have to present to our designer later - yes, alone. But I doubt much can be done even if we bring it up - mom-in-law says not to pay them till they get everything done to how we want them to be. Good idea, I'd think, esp since she's had much experience in such dealings esp after her recent move. Dan thinks I've been too harsh on them when I started pointing out the defects in the workmanship and all. "We only paid them $XXX, what do u expect them to do?" And my point exactly, "We paid them $XXX so they should do it up to our standards!" Dan's mom agrees with me totally. So yesterday, when we were coming up with our list of disgrunts, he happily joined the gang and highlighted several. Yes, and now I have to present them to the designer and deal with her. The customer is always right, no? Although they have so much tact that they can diverge any inconveniences to them to the customer instead. Have to gear up for battle then.

Hopefully I can stop worrying once we move in and get everything settled. Then I can focus on something equally, if not as worrying - impending exams, tests and assignments!

Burn Fats!

Eileen, Jac, Jeremy and I had a rather satisfying workout on Friday... ran 2.4km, did some other exercises as well. After the DEXA scan, I think most of us need to workout more and were slightly more motivated. Jeremy's now what I would call Muscle Man - the muscles in his body weigh more than me - muscles, bones and fats! Explains his super big calves that I like to call Honey Roasted Chicken Drumsticks. Hehe... :P

Need to think positive... the power of positive thinking is astounding. At least I hope it is... so that I can apply it and see results. As I once heard, why spend you life being miserable when you can be happy?

Reformatted Laptop

Reformatted my laptop today... which explains why I'm still up at this time although I've got school tmr. Been installing programmes and all for hours. My laptops much faster and less cluttered now, which was the point of it all, but I forgot to save my favourites in my Internet so I lost some websites there. Oh wells, no biggie I guess, though I was rather upset initially.

Got to get some sleep now though... nitey nites!
