stressed in sch

School has been interesting - with some wonderfully entertaining lecturers, as well as the many sports we've been playing in our free time. Glad to say that my class is quite united in the sense that we do things together, eat together, go to class together, and sit together in class. Perhaps it's cos we are a small class, of only 13.

Went to watch NTU's bball team's training yesterday, since I can't really participate with my sprained ankle and all. But they're saying that we can go down for trainings as selection will not happen so soon and we can still train on till then.

I don't mind that - in fact, I'm in favour of that, since I'm not one to train just so to be on the team and to play competitions. In fact, I doubt I can make it on the team, what with national players like Xueling, Mabelline, Cheryl, Mei Feng... and I think there's more whom I've missed out... plus, there's this French lady who is tall and so fit... she looks like an WNBA player! Plus she's good too! She's real tough and can play as a wonderful center.

Actually there's a lot of players in NTU whom I know - but it's quite interesting since it's a combination of all; there's Xiao Qi who's my pri sch classmate, Xueling and Mabelline who I got to know through Danny, Ee Ping, Jac and Cheryl, who were my ex-teamates in Chong Ghee.

Watched Michelle playing with them since I wanted to be there, yet I couldn't train... going down for the next training on Mon. Hopefully by then I can jump and run around normally.

Also saw "James" from the OPSS camp at the NTU basketball courts. He was playing in the next court - apparently, he's also a first-year student there.

Was talking to a senior on the bus ride home yesterday and she mentioned all the workloads and stuff, and I found myself getting a headache just hearing about all the work that will come. I actually began to panic, I believe. The headache even lasted all the way till the next morning - geez! But I think I finally managed to take it easier now and just get things done when they come my way... and not try to worry myself to death. Being in U is really so much more different than being in poly; in poly, we had a 16-week semester, and in U, just a 10-week semester. It's gonna be crazy!!

baby hamsters... again

Just when Tres and Fluffy have began to become independent, Baby gives birth to another litter of 7 babies. Unfortunately, only 5 out of the 7 are still alive currently. One was a still born, while the other was being eaten by Tres by the time I found it. All of the 5 are patriotic babies, since they were born yesterday, on National Day!

Seperated Tres and Fluffy from the babies and Baby and Hammy into their new cage and they seem to be enjoying the new home - bigger space, less crammed and less potential for more deaths. Hopefully all 5 will grow up well and I can give them off to my bro and Ah Zhun who are willing to adopt 4 of the 5. Any takers for the last baby left?

sprain

Sprained my ankle yesterday, the first ever on my left ankle. Didn't hurt as much initially, and I could still walk around without any problems after the sprain. However, I can barely put any pressure on it now, not to mention walking.

Sprained it while playing basketball in sch with some schoolmates during a break. Sprained it the exact same manner I sprained my right ankles years ago - I jumped for a high pass and I didn't manage to get it, and landed badly on my foot. Somehow, I already knew that I was going to sprain my ankle from the moment I jumped, even before my foot landed on the floor with a sickening series of cracks.

Would like to thank everyone who was there with me when I sprained my ankle, esp to those who brought the ice and helped me ice my ankle after. And sorry for taking up their time since they didn't manage to get a proper lunch because they were taking care and accompanying me. Thank you so much peeps!

The funny thing is, another guy also sprained his ankle shortly after me. They were playing again and he stepped on another guy's foot and sprained it.

Haiz, unfortunately, our Inter-Class Games are next week, and I doubt I can participate now with my injury. Don't think it'll heal that fast... Darned.

first day @ nie

First day of school today! It's great being back at school, attending classes and hanging out with classmates. Monday isn't that great though, since I start off with a rather boring English lecture. However, the day picks up with some interesting lessons after, so it isn't that bad after all.

The only thing I'm irritated about is my timetable, since I have an 8-hour break on Friday!

National Day's on Wed, so yay! 1 day off at school!

sentosa!

Went to Sentosa with Dan, Vodka, Derence, his gf Wendy and his dog, Magic. Some photos of the fantastic outing:

Dan with Vodka, who seems to respond extremely well to Dan, and who loves licking people.

Here's Derence's gay dog, Magic, attempting to hump poor innocent Vodka, who was his constant humping target.

Derence & his gf, Wendy, with the 2 main stars of the outing.

Magic!

Vodka, the great water-loving dog!

My fav pic of the day! Vodka with Cheero... not sure how to spell his name though... but he's a very pretty husky!

The dogs were amazing and despite the dark tan and the scratches suffered, it was all worth it! Haha... Vodka is just such a darling dog - responsive, obedient and friendly. Really am looking forward to another similar outing. Thanks darling for organising this trip!

baby hamsters!

My 2 baby hamsters have finally opened their eyes to view the world! Welcome Tres and Fluffy!

Had a great climbing session today... it was fun and though tiring, it was so satisfying. Went to Marina Square with the guys after, looking for the much missed Beef Chili Cheese Fries, but just as my instincts told me, they didn't have it, so went on to eat a not-so-satisfying Yoshinoya meal.

After which, we shopped around and somehow, I always see a jacket that I want to purchase whenever I shop at Marina Sq. Saw 2 today - one at Puma (nice blue jacket) and a winter-wear jacket at Ripcurl that is soooooooo nice! But since it's for winter, it's darned thick and not really suitable for S'pore's weather, but I began thinking of going to Sikkim this year end with SLC just so I can justify my purchase of that jacket, which would come in real handy since the trip's during winter! It's brown with turqoise and white... really really nice!!! But, nah, don't think it's a worth-while purchase, since it costs $165!

I may not always portray my love for you and you may feel disappointed or worried about that. But rest assured that I do this not because I've stopped loving you, but because I feel that we're at a stage where we're so comfortable with one another that we don't need to constantly affirm our feelings for one another - it's unspoken and it's understood. So don't worry baby, cos all's well and I love you, so much, more than anyone I've ever loved before...
