missing BKK

I miss waking up to the hustle and bustle of the city; I miss waking up and seeing the throngs of vehicles queued up on the busy streets through my window. I miss the extreme heat and outrageous humidity. I miss the erratic conversations in foreign context. I miss the immense amount of people I've had to people-wrestle in the markets. I miss the gorgeously delicious food. I miss the days and days of continual shopping - morning till night's worth of shopping. I miss the beautiful items that are so unbelievably affordable. All in all, I miss the beautiful city that is Bangkok.

marina south

Had dinner at Marina South with Saiful and Suf just now... my tummy is filled with prawns now... 43 prawns to be exact. (Yes, I counted the heads of the prawns after I was done, just for fun... haha) Also had some meat and crabs too, abt 2 crabs in total. Even thinking abt it makes me so full. Having some green tea in hopes of detoxing all the toxins in the mounds of seafood that I've consumed in the span of 1 1/2 hrs. The shells were all spread out before me on the table that it looked like a massacre. The guys actually called me a monster, since they actually stopped eating before me, and they were constantly surprised at the amount of prawns I was eating. It became so auto that I just peeled the prawns and popped them into my mouth without thinking. Although the topics over dinner were out of the ordinary, ranging from digging shit holes and getting shit splattered all over, to disgusting toilet stories, to jokes abt snot, to dreams. Hah... enjoyable company, those 2 fellas.

Had a great climbing day before dinner too. Think it's cos I've been looking forward to the climb. Managed to complete a couple of 6A routes and conquer a tough route that we previously were having difficulties with. Looking forward to next week's climb with great anticipation. The key to climbing, is to push urself more and instead of staying on the simple routes, try to challenge yourself and go for something more every week. That's a great way to build up your climbing ability and confidence as well. Plus, beats the fear of height extremely well too.

Been watching FIFA World Cup these few days, or at least when I can and when there's a telecast on TV2. Love watching Germany and Portugal play. Besides the hot players, like Ballack, Figo and C. Ronaldo, there's also the excitement in rooting for my fav teams and the fancy footwork that's amazing to watch and revel in. I don't get why some girls complain when their bf watch soccer. I think it's a good sport to watch together. The guy watches it for his sports pique, while the lady can watch the match for the hunks. It's a win-win situation, no? Well, at least it is for me.

Finally am going to complete my final procedure for NIE. I think I'll be fully relieved when I have that over and done with, instead of wondering what's going to happen and getting worried over nothing. By next Saturday, my mind will finally be at ease, and I'll truly be on my way to becoming a PE teacher. Ahhh~

Going for a camp next week with Dan and Qi Hui, as camp instructors! So exciting. I'm soooo looking forward to it, cos I love camps! I love being in the outdoors and having fun activities lined up, having a great time with others at camps. Can't wait to go, though I still am clueless abt it. Will be going on a briefing next Mon though, so hopefully that'll enlighten me a little more.

Okies, gotta go to bed now. Working tmr at the supremely quiet and slow cafe. I've managed to read some magazines and the papers during my working hours, since there's really no customers and I really have nothing to do.My daily routine at work? Get in and discuss last night's soccer matches with my manager, talk abt soccer and the upcoming matches, then read the papers on the latest WC news, and after that, probably just find something else to read till the I knock off and bring in the tables and chairs outside the cafe. Interesting? Well, I think not...

hammy & baby as parents

I think my hamsters are gonna be parents soon. I can't tell for sure, but I have a gut feeling that it's true. Still can't believe that they've grown up so fast... still remember them as the tiny tots that I brought home weeks ago.

Anyways, I'll be giving the babies away, so if anyone is interested in adopting some of them, just drop me a msg, or give me a ring. Thanks!

retail therapy!!

Retail therapy is wonderful! It's great shopping for things and buying them to make oneself happy... I love looking at pretty things, and even more when I am able to buy them.

Even though I'm not really working now, I still can't stop myself from shopping, esp in a time like this (GSS)! Been buying some new goods -

1) Nike sports bra (in celebration and preparation for NIE)

2) Adidas Superstar 2G Light (new pair of extra light pink Adidas shoes to help me out in my days in NIE)

3) Black leather bag (with studs and some bronze details... goes with almost everything! Finally found the bag that I've been looking for...)

4) Bronze slippers with a brown 'crystal' on it from Novo (finally found a pair of comfy slippers that go with almost everything... plus a good replacement for my '3-section-slippers! Haha...)

Saw another jacket that I really like today... it's a Puma jacket... purple with pink details... so pretty! And such a good fit too! But I've resolved to not buying things just cos they're pretty... but based on whether I need something like that... and after much much muuuuch contemplation, I decided against it. So, yay! I'm giving myself a pat on the back for making such a good decision... let's just hope I don't become a hypocrite by buying it the next day... haha...

Danny got himself a full-time job as a sales engineer! Yay for my bb! So happy for him... sure he'll be capable and do a good job... since he already was good enough to clinch the position... hehe... better treasure the opportunity and make some good out of it... Jia you my bb!

Going back to SWAMI Home tmr for a fun fair... I was involved in the beginning planning stages, but I left way before everything was done up... hehe... hope that it's a success... think it'll be fun to go back and see some familiar faces... hehe... till tmr!
