climbing

Climbing was great today... quite tired though, cos started at about 12.30pm, till 7.30pm... but it was really fun... Rosenna and Hakim came along, and I think they enjoyed themselves too... great to see more pple interested in climbing... Finally getting my groove back... beginning to get more strength in my fingers and can grip better, esp the tiny holds... plus, they've changed the routes so that many of them require jumping and a lot of reaching, esp the last hold... which is challenging, but gets really tiring...

Went to Vivo City again today, and got to have Beef Chilli Cheese Fries! The ones there are really nice, cos it's spicier, and more cheesy too...!! Plus, loads of salsa with it really makes my day~

Most prob going k-box with Suf and Saiful this Sunday... think that will be really fun - singing with 2 crazy fellas... yeah!

spring cleaning

Decided to do something worthwhile today, so I cleaned my room... all thanks to that great idea, I'm now nursing a blocked nose that's seriously stuffed up right now, and a cough, most prob caused by the gazillions of dust that I've come to close encounter with today... Cleared out some old clothes too, amounting to one big plastic bag full. It always puzzles me, how I can keep cleaning my room and clearing junk all the time, throwing away bags full of rubbish almost every time I do so. Where do I get so much junk from? And where does all the dust come from? My gosh, I've merely just wiped the surface before seeing a layer of it settle there again.

Met up with Maz today for lunch... was fun meeting up again, and talked quite a bit through lunch... Also managed to borrow Grey's Anatomy from her... Yeah! Will have something interesting to watch now... hehe...

Going climbing tmr with Hakim and Rosenna in the early noon, then climbing with Saiful and Suf in the late afternoon... an entire day of climbing, yeah! That's what the hols are for, man! Wanted to go jogging today, and for once, the weather was good for an outdoor activity, but I decided against it since my body has been aching since yesterday's climb and I did want to do something productive with my room today, so yeah... I know I keep saying that I'll go jogging and I always put it off... wonder if I really will end up running at least once in the hols... heh... Hopefully I will.

Miss you bb... Haven't seen you since Monday... Guess we can only meet either on Fri or the weekend... looking forward... take care my busy bb...

Posted some new pics in the Pics section... check em out ya?

vivo

Went climbing today, finally...!! Also got my very own harness today! Bought a Black Diamond, XS... on offer too... hehe... think I got a good buy, though there was a female's harness that was nicer... too bad they didn't have my size... ended up buying the unisex one... no regrets though... tested it out after purchasing it while climbing at Climb Adventure... good fit actually, though still a tad big even with it tightened to the max... nonetheless, managed to get it at $70... somewhat within my estimated budget...

Was so tiring though, after the hiatus from climbing... will have to carry on climbing regularly to get the rhythm and techniques back... unfortunately, really lost it all... no strength in the arms, not using the legs at all, no finger strength too... almost 'died' while climbing a route that solely relied on finger strength till the last 2 holds... aiks... but it was a good workout nonetheless... going again on Thurs and hopefully, it will be a better day for climbing, for both Saiful and me... cos both of us kinda lost the touch...

Ended climbing by 7.30pm and left for Vivo City... hehe... yes, the shopping freaks went shopping again today... still getting lost in Vivo City and the place is so freaking big I'm having such a dull ache in my legs now... but then again, that could be due to the climbing... hehe... anyways, we shopped around and tried on a few jackets in a couple of shops... saw the ZARA pants again today... so nice! Really feel like purchasing it... argh... anyways, hope it goes on discount soon so I can get it at a lower price... haha...

Went up to the third level on Vivo City and we actually went into the wading pool... despite it being really dark and we really weren't sure how deep the water was or what condition it was in... perhaps, like Saiful said, ignorance is bliss... it was better that we didn't know what else lurked in the water, or what colour the water (perhaps polluted by numerous stinky feet soaking in it) has become... anyways, we were trying to walk from one end to the other, but halfway through the walk, the water got deeper and we weren't sure how much deeper it would get, so we got out instead when it reached over our shins. Plus, Saiful was wearing pants so not that good of an idea anyways. It was really fun though... cos the water was like cold and warm in some areas, and I was kicking the water around... felt like we were at a beach or something...

Went on the deck and looked out towards Sentosa and star-gazed too... several couples and groupies were there too... quite crowded place for the night, actually... but it's a really wonderful place for a romantic night out... (bb, bring me there someday, k? Can stargaze there... I like...)

I've been reading some of my old diary entries and feeling kinda sad about someone whom I have lost contact with... but I guess it's too late to regret or do anything about it... just wondering how friends can actually end up losing contact with one another, and how the relationship can actually change so drastically with time... I guess it's just something that we have to cope with through life... some of the people I wrote about, I can't even remember their faces, or who they are... which is kinda funny... but it really brought back some great memories, about how life used to be, how everything seemed so much more important and so much so dramatic... hehe... miss such 'exciting' events in life...

Went over to play with Vodka on Sunday, and since I was the only one in the living room with him that day (cos Dan was sleeping and everyone else was in their rooms), Vodka actually was kinda keen to play with me. I was sitting on the couch watching tv when he came to me with a cloth bone that we play tug with in his mouth, and looked at me as if beckoning me to play with him, so I did... how can i resist his sad puppy eyes?? After a while, I resumed watching the tv prog and he came back later, barking at me, then turning to walk off, before turning back to me to bark at me, taunting me to chase him... so that resulted in me playing with him again, this time in a game of push and tumble... hehe... the last time he beckoned me to play with him (before Danny, his idol, came out from the room and warranted all his attention) was with the cloth bone again, but this time, he dropped it in front of on the couch where I was lying... he's just so adorable!!!

Was at a pet shop in Yishun yesterday buying supplies for my hamsters, and saw this adorable Shizu with a pink tail. She's so adorable though cos she flopped on her back to let Dan scratch her tummy, and she would shake her legs in enjoyment. When it was my turn, she actually curled up her body and she was so cute! Then the huge Saint Bernard came in... and he sniffed my hand, leaving it wet... but he's a nice dog too... very calm, but super big! Dan actually ventured on to scratch his gigantic tummy... woah... looking at the size of his feet and his mouth, I can't imagine what would happen if we accidentaly stepped on his foot... prob will result in us losing a certain body part that's within his biting reach... yikes... also saw a pretty little puppy, that looked like a German Shepard, though the owner wasn't too sure... she's really pretty and sweet, merely 3 months old...

Oh, at this pet shop where Vodka goes to clean his wound, we saw these cute puppies for sale there... there was this adorable 3-month-old Husky, pure white with stunning blue eyes... and another red one that was already sold, also with blue eyes... then there was a miniature maltese which was so tiny and adorable, and a beautiful Jack Russel, which had a body that was entirely white without markings, but with nice black and brown markings on the head. Plus, it entertained me by playing with me, even though we were seperated by the glass and it's cage...

Bangkok trip's next Friday! Looking forward and counting down to the day...

madness!

Taking a break in the midst of studying for the final paper... really lost the mood for mugging after doing so last week. But it's only 1 paper... and still I can't convict myself to study hard for it. Doing a half-ass job studying...

Perhaps another reason why I can't get myself into the studying mood is cos the holidays are fast approaching! And BANGKOK! There's so many things I want to do in the holidays... and so many things I wanna do and buy in Bangkok! So I guess you can see why I'm not in the mood to study rite? I think I'm going to Hantu, if all goes well, end of Dec. And I'm gonna go climbing, a heck lot of it! Missed about 2 to 3 weeks of it already cos of the exams. Really miss it! And my climbing kakis... the crazy fellas. Then, I'm going to shop my eyes out... going to Vivo City's a definite, then there's Marina Sq, Orchard... and I'll be helping out in the FIBA under 20 competitions in Dec too. Hmmm what else... think I'll make a trip to JB and maybe hiking in Ubin, Bukit Timah, Sentosa, or even the zoo!

Ah! Just so many things I wanna do and the only thing in the way, is the final dreaded paper on Monday... come on, just let me at it! Can't be bothered as to whether I'm prepared for it or not anymore... just wanna get it out of the way... and make way for the start of the holidays!

SIM

Went to SIM with Dan for lunch today... haven't been there since my graduation from NP and it was really great going back there to see the changes in NP. It was crowded as usual, but otherwise, everything looked the same as it was. And the food is still as good, except that the portion has been reduced greatly. Had the chicken cutlet (used to be humongous) and it's still as good as it was. We also tried the baked chicken rice which was something new. Ate so much! But it was good... I've missed the chicken cutlet and finally got to taste it again today. Hehe... thanks bebe!

Met up with Wendy and we walked around the campus a bit (just around the Atrium, the Co-op and library). It was nice to be back and see new changes in the poly... but being back there, I felt so old! Especially when looking at the young pretty girls in school who were dressed and made-up so intricately. And there were plenty during our short stay there... so single guys, now you know where you can go for good food and pretty gals ya?

Went K-boxing with Dan, Derence and Wendy on Sat morning, where we had such a great time. Derence amused us all with his Stitch imitation, and it was sooooo good! He really sounded like him! And we all broke down when he started singing a duet with Wendy using Stitch's voice. Talented man... a waste that he isn't in the entertainment business. Haha!

Went over to Hakim's house after for Hari Raya open house with Rosenna. His mom actually had those dishes you use for buffet catering and they even set up a rack to put all the food. The dishes even had printed names in English! So professional... and the food was really yummy too. Stayed for quite a while, talking and eating. Had a nice time there.

Been busy studying for exams... looking forward to the end of all this... pls! Oh, also, heard that Chatuchak market has been closed down! Was so sad when I heard that! My favourite place of visit (and shopping) in Bangkok! Kinda disappointed that this happened, esp a month before we're going to Bangkok. Guess this trip will prob be more abt food then... hehe...

back...

Been a long time... I know... but I'm back, with an update, despite my busy busy days in school... hehe... after so many people bugging me to blog - didn't know that there are people actually reading my blog... hehe... sorry ar... anyways, nice to know that there are pals reading my blog... :)

Wells, have completed all my assignments... and I'm left with just 5 papers (1 test and 4 exams) - like 4 exams! So many! I had only, like, at most 2 papers a sem when I was in poly?!?!? Stress lah... But otherwise, sch's fine and I'm looking forward to the end of the semester... cos not only does it mean that I've managed to survive the first 1/8 of my course, but also, it signifies the start of the holidays and BANGKOK! YES!! I'm finally going back to that wonderful wonderful city!! Hehe... yes, I'm paraniod, I know... :P

Anyways, just came back not long ago from a K-box-ing session... went with pri sch pals YL, Ling & Jon... been a while since I've been there and I've been humbled and astounded by their great vocals... so was a bit shy to sing lah... :P I think I've actually lost the urge to sing that much now... haha... good too... felt my throat straining so badly anyways... plus it was soooooo freaking cold my lips turned purple and I was shivering, even though I had my jacket on! Was really fun nonetheless, and we hung out after that for some drinks at McCafe (LOVE the Himalayan Tea!) and just walked around a bit, and resulted in Jon purchasing a $200++ dollar jacket from ZARA. So bloody jealous of that rich bugger lah... argh... Went for dinner at Pepper Lunch, and it was nice... Think I'll be going there again, soon... (Saw a pair of ZARA pants that I like... but $90! and I'm thinking about my BKK trip... so I think I shld stop buying anything in S'pore till after my trip... hehe... fill in the gap based on what I didn't manage to buy from BKK... haha... but I hope the pants will still be there... really like em!

Been going for some gatherings recently... lots of birthday parties to attend to, in Oct and Nov... went for Laura's wonderful dinner party at Novotel...where we had buffet dinner and caught up with each other (the mass commies... plus she's been in aussie and just came back for a few days for her bday). Then there was Jon's bday celebration at MoMo... then just yesterday was Cheng Mei's beautiful bash at the CC... (bought her a beautiful bouquet of flowers - cream roses - so nice!) and then followed by Brendan's bbq, where the mass commies caught up again, and in his house too... the place where we all stayed over at one point or another in our poly days for our projects, haha... esp me, since I did lots of projs with him... gosh, really gave a flashback on those stressful but great days. Kinda nice... like walking down memory lane... heh... Plus, we saw Gobi once again, with his twin... or gf... haha... damn cute lah... ah Brendan... heh...

Dan had to sell off the Mazda... so sad... but the co did get him another car... something that looks like a Kangoo... kinda like car in front and van behind? Good esp for bringing Vodka out! No more slobbering all over us!

Well, have 2 presentations this coming week... hopefully everythings gonna go well and I can get this sem over successfully and with good grades too, I hope... exams are stressing me up... dun think I'll be posting an update anytime soon... prob next one will be after the exams... 27 Nov... party time man! Hehe...
