"stepping out on my own"

My hamster was famished this morning so when I opened its cage to feed it, it promptly jumped into the container of food I left at the opening and helped itself to a buffet breakfast.

Here's a closer look at the Greedy One in Heaven.

Brought the dogs out to Sentosa this morning, although it did rain at about 7-ish. Weather took a turn for the better, but only for a while, as evidenced by the downpour about an hour ago.

"Yay, we're at the beach again, finally, although I don't like to swim... but still..."

"Yeah, water is my element, baby!"

"I can swim with my tongue out, easy-peasy, chicken feet*pffft*"

Meanwhile, the non-amphibious Kino takes to grazing on dry land.

Someone's a happy boy

The other one, on the other hand, is a panicked wreck hanging on to the rocks for dear life

Splashing-good fun in the not-so-fun cold water

"Help! Kino's trying to drown me!!!" - Yeap, in this photo, our dear Kino took a brave step out into the waters and tried to swim, but panic overtook her bravery and she clung onto Vodka's back, almost drowning him by submerging him underwater.

"Ah, safely back on the rocks."

"And stay there, PLEASE!"

"Maybe I'll just wade in the shallow waters."

Safely in the waters again, away from Kino's death grip

"Phew, finally, a rest."

Oh no, it's coming! Watch the ears lurching!

Too much grazing results in reflux of mushy greens. Here's Kino staring at her own puke.

"Ewww!"
I guess Vodka saw the puke.

A little meditation after swimming is good... ooooohhhmmmmmmm

"Rock, yes!"

"I'm the Queen of the World! Ah woooooo!"

"Maybe I'll just jump in for another try at swimming..."

"Or maybe not."

"Hey, watcha looking at?"

"Brrr, cold, wet..."

"Yummy, I love a little saltwater now and then..."

"Cos it makes me hysterical!"

Ah! Sneak attack!

"Cardiac arrest, help!"

Some dogs just don't learn their lesson.

"They say water is the best cure! FURBALL! Woo hoo!"

"Maybe just a step in? One more try?"

"I may lose to you in the water, but I can take you down on land!"

Ahhh nothing beats refreshing sandy water

Here's a peacock with her 3 pea-lings, spotted when we were making our way back to the car.

A week ago we stopped by this Dairy Farm on Lim Chu Kang Ave 8A. The owners are really cool - they just let us roam on the farm and touch the animals and all.

Mooooove it

Lunch time, guys!

Love those huge innocent eyes with the super long lashes

Is he trying to touch me?

Baby goats! Kids!

Told ya we could touch the animals.

And here's the adorable black kid who's super duper friendly

He'd nibble on your ear too

But no one says it doesn't hurt.

And this here's a baby Mynah that fell from its nest on the roof of the farm. Benjamin Button, is that you?

Resident dog who has the luxury of drinking fresh cow's milk daily. Lucky dog.

Packing out 1L bag of milk - it's super nice, like milkier than the milk we buy from supermarkets and all. It kinda tastes like HL, but with a stronger and milkier taste. Yummy... And oh, the yoghurt, is to DIE for. Super interesting cos the flavour changes over time as you stir it. It starts off with a tinge of sourness, then becomes more milky and cheesy. A must-try for yoghurt enthusiasts!
