The crabs are onto me
Feasting on seafood recently... I think the crabs are onto me... they'll be looking for a chance to avenge their dead relatives swimming in my tummy now...
Had a bad dining experience on Tuesday at a popular eating spot in S'pore. I shan't mention where so as to not ruin the experience of others at the place, but I doubt I'll be eating seafood, or even any food there, for a loooong period of time. Just say that we found something that ought not be in the food, in there. A hint - it is brown, has 6 legs, and wings. Anyways, save the gory details - we're just thankful that none of us chewed on that sorry arse of an insect. And lucky that we managed to get a full refund on the food. To think that after that ordeal, we still went on in search of desserts, followed by more food of a similar kind. But we were more careful after that - we have this paranoia about eating out now, especially that particular dish. We now take a careful look before eating - although it may seem rude to some to dig through the food before tucking in, I still say it's better to be safe than sorry, and unpoisoned than have good table manners. Rocky's Pizza was dinner yesterday - Hawaiian as usual. The pizza's still superb and we finally managed to counquer the 16", with Gavin's help. It still resulted in 2 and a half slices of super huge pizza each, with Dan in the lead with 3. It's been relocated to Sunset Way, and although the pizza's still delish with the thick layer of gooey cheese on a thin crunchy crust, I recommend diners to not try the super watery and rather bland tasting soup. Went to Sentosa for a short trip with Dan's aunt, ah ma, Jaymond and Jeremy. Dinner today involved crabs once again. Chilli and pepper. I wonder how much more of this crustacean I can consume, not that I'm complaining. |
