Paint and more paint!

Am up blogging at 1am cos I've been unable to sleep due to an incessant coughing episode... yes, I could blame it on a certain stupid-thingy in NIE, or even my hubby, or it could just be that I've inhale too much paint today.

Yes, my hubby and I embarked on an almost impossible task today - 2 people to paint a 4-room flat. And the walls are of stone-finishing, so it's not smooth, and definitely not easy to paint, mind you. Was cursing at the wall with each forceful yet unsuccessful stroke of paint. And after almost 10 hours of hard work, with some help from a great friend (thanks Xu Yong!) we managed to complete the master bedroom (complete with my perfectionist touch) and 80% of the living room, plus a first coat for the other 2 rooms. The walls are coated with Lily white, which is a fancy way of describing white with a tinge of yellow. Anyways, after all that hard work... we decided, with the financial aid of my dear mother-in-law, to fully renovate the house. Which means, all that hard work, all that paint, meant zilch, since we're redoing the place and getting rid of the ghastly stone-finishing on the walls.

So... ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!! Yes, I'm estatic to be getting a better looking home, complete with a new kitchen and bathrooms, and smooth walls at last, but it rather saddens me to see how our hard work has been rather unnecessary. And, this cough was all for nothing.

Excited about what we'll be doing... I have no idea yet, but I think my mom-in-law has plently... so we shall see what happens then.
