A first step to a new beginning... never imagined this something like this would have happened today, but it did. Actually may appear as nothing much to some, but I guess it's a step forward for us.

Was having a rather bleh time shopping at Marina Square today... was supposed to be celebrating for my birthday by going out for a shopping trip... my princess day, as Dan calls it. But it wasn't that ideal really cos we didn't really have a good time... I guess shopping with him really just isn't that great... need to find another shopping buddy really...

Anyways, despite the rather bleh day out, went for a great movie at the end of the day... watched 300... really nice movie... loved the action sequences...

Then just as we were leaving, a guy stopped us and started talking to us, and got us to sit down at their exhibition area. It was for a wedding company and they the sales person started selling us this weding package. Initially, we were just sitting there, listening just for the sake of being courteous. But as she talked on, we were really interested in what they were offering and we ended up actually purchasing the package! I guess it signifies our commitment to each other, and although it isn't a proposal, it felt good to know that at least something solid is planned. The package lasts for 10 years, and we can get married anytime within 10 years from now, and we just have to pay the price offered to us today, even though according to market rate, the price will increase in years to come. Plus, it covers everything one needs for a wedding, except the wedding ring, and the banquet. It even includes the outfit for ROM and the make-up for ROM as well... The package costs $3000+ but we only had to pay 10% and just pay another 20% by our ROM. The remainer can be paid in instalments, if we are UOB or Citibank customers. It seems like a good package and includes all these:

- a first-hand made-to-measure wedding gown (any design I choose and they even have wedding gowns designed in France for choosing) [rent]
- an evening gown [rent]
- a traditional costume (for the tea-ceremony) [rent]
- a suit and 2 pairs of made-to-measure pants for Dan [1 pair of pants will be for him to keep, whilst the others are rented]
- make-up and hair for the wedding (day and night)
- flowers and corsages
- a suit for the dads [rent]
- a decorated Mercedes with chauffer for the wedding [rent]
- rental of gown and suits for ROM
- make-up for ROM
- 24 pcs of 15R wedding photos
- CD-rom of wedding photos
- a booklet of 5R photos & a booklet of 4R photos
- a table-top photo
- a canvas photo
- 60 pcs of 4R photos
- indoor studio and outdoor photography
- make-up and hair for 6 styles for photo shoot
- costumes for photo shoot

I think that's about it... haha... anyone interested in this kindly let me know... will refer you to the shop... hehe...
