vodka runaway and new printer!

NEWS FLASH - ATTEMPTED RUN AWAY

An attempted run-away was committed by a Mr Vodka, a 9-month old Siberian Husky. The accused managed to flee and run into oncoming traffic after his collar, which was bought recently from Bangkok, snapped open. Fortunately, Vodka escaped the incident unscathed, as alert drivers managed to stop in time. Thankfully, an accident was not caused by the great escape. His owner, and also my dear dear, Mr Danny Lim, ran across the road after him, in fear of his safety, and also, of losing him. Luckily, he managed to catch up with Vodka and safely put him on his collar again. Unbeknownst, the collar faulted again and snapped; this time, Vodka ran towards an unknowing Malay lady, scaring the victim to tears. However, she was comforted by Danny who chased after Vodka again, and this time, tied him up with the rope of his bottle, ensuring a safe journey home then on. The faulty collar has since been disposed of, to prevent further similar incidents from occurring.

Was Wing's birthday yesterday... had lunch on him at Suki Sushi... buffet. Didn't eat much, but did venture and attempt something unknown... some green strands that we assumed was seaweed. Went to K-box with him the day before, on me. Had great fun actually, even though it was only 2 people for 4 hours... but it was good. In fact, I found the time insufficient! Think I'm soon becoming ga-ga for KTV-ing.

After the great buffet, I went on to have dinner with Dan, and Vodka, at this really great place at Railway Mall. It's called Hooked and it's good for fish dishes. Kinda like Fish & Co, but I think much better in terms of value and variety of fishy dishes. Dan tried the Shark Curry, while I tried the Poached Salmon, both of which were really good. I'm someone who doesn't really enjoy salmon, but the dish was so good! The salmon simply melts in your mouth, unlike most other salmon dishes at other eateries, all dried up. Vodka sat on the floor beside our table and managed to catch a lot of attention from passers-by, and also managed to scare a poor little girl to tears. This girl came up to Vodka, probably wanting to have a better look at him, or to touch him, when he suddenly pounced at her, as he always does when he's excited. The girl got so frightened, she ran towards her dad and wailed. I think the dad was really pissed, though he couldn't really blame us for that boo-boo. Oh, the service staff at Hooked were really nice too, and the best thing is that there's no service charge at the place! You only have to pay an extra 5% for GST... soon to be 7% though...

Had a busy day today... met Dan and Derence for lunch today at Sembawang Shopping Centre, and had some great Thai cuisine at the popular restaurant. Ordered my fav pineapple rice. And Dan's fav, the steamed cod fish in light soy sauce. After which, went to Clementi for some eyebrow threading (it was so crowded!) then headed on to Marina Square for some shopping. Bought 2 panty and bra sets, and a brafor just $27.70! Actually, it amounted to $52.70, but cos of my $25 voucher, I got it at less than $30. New lingerie for CNY!

Was joined by Saiful and we headed over to Funan, where I bought my new printer, a Canon MP160. Good value for good quality... all in all, not a bad purchase. Figured I'd rather spend a bit of cash and get myself a printer, rather than having to worry about having to print in sch and all. At least I can print at my own pleasure, even though it is taking up half of my table space currently. Quite pleased with its performance thus far.

Nursing pair of sore feet now, due to my bad decision of wearing heels today. Wanted to season out the pair of heels that I bought last year, but probably only worn less than 6 times. I call them my 'pain pain shoes'. And they really do live up to that name. Everything was all right until I bought the printer and had to lug it around from the train to home, thanks to Saiful who helped me carry it all the way to the station... hehe... thanks bro! At least I hope I didn't look as weird as this girl I saw in Marina Sq who was wearing this pair of dressy black heels that totally didn't go with her attire. She looked like a sec sch girl, dressed in colourful and youthful clothes, and she was wearing a pair of dressy black heels that looked too dressy for her outfit. Plus, she walked like the heels were obviously giving her trouble, and one look at her and you can tell that she's a beginner heel-wearer. Upon seeing that, I immediately hoped that I didn't look that awkward and from this point on, I shall take her as a reminder to walk gracefully when in heels, despite the pain they're inflicting on me.

Am peeling currently, due to the sunburn from the Hantu trip. Will be going to Sentosa tmr to even out the tan, so hopefully the sun will be there for me! Prepare to see a brand new toasted Evon! Haha...
