dogs' paradise

Spent a beautifully bright and sunny Sunday at Sentosa with the wonderful company of 5 amazing dogs and their owners. We were the center of attention that day, while we soaked in the sea with 5 beautiful dogs - a 3-year-old Golden Retriever, Chi Chi (gigantic in size!!!), 2 gorgeous huskies (Chiro - reddish-brown with green eyes; and Sparky - grey/black), Derence's Magic (Jack Russel mix) and Max, a black shiztu and maltese mix).

It was an amazing day! Loved the sun, the sea, the sand, and the extreme fun playing with the gorgeous dogs, splashing about with them in the water. The retriever is definitely a well-trained water dog, what with its age and breed. Chi Chi will get into the water without coaxing and he'll bite onto his leash when he's swimming. Such a clever dog!

The huskies love the water as well, but they shed a lot in the heat so the sea was full of dog fur once they got in. But they were so fun and they kept shaking off the water near us, as we were seated near the shore. For some reason, they would swim back to shore towards where we were seated and shake off right beside us, sometimes even right in our faces! But how cld we ever get mad at such beautiful creatures... hehe.

Then there was Derence's Magic... the frisky pup who was so eager and so afraid of the water. He looked so cute struggling through the water initially, and would cling onto Derence or the unlucky person holding him in the water, resulting in limbs full of painful scratch marks - the victims being either Derence or Danny most of the time. Plus, it was a tiring yet interesting moment watching Magic, the 2nd smallest of the lot, try and hump the rest of the male dogs. I renamed Magic 'gay boy' instead.

Then there was Max, the 'chee hong' dog. He wld wander off on his own to the ladies and sit near them when we were in the water. He doesn't like the water much, though he can swim. But after his first attempt, we think he was so greatly fatigued that he couldn't swim again for the rest of the day. Here's a great dog for a single guy - great way to pick up babes on the beach. Haha... Just send him over to the desired lady's direction, then walk over to collect him from the lady, giving the guy a great opportunity to show his sensitive and carng side, as well as to chat the lady up. Haha... Plus, I was walking him over to get some stuff from 7-11 and he just got so tired walking in the heat that he sat down one moment and refused to move, even as I tugged at his leash. So I had to cradle him in my arms like a baby. I learned later on that he's a pampered dog of a rich owner and that he stays in aircon rooms all day, which explains his tiredness in the heat.

Had a wonderful time at the beach - thanks Dan for bringing me there! It was so amazing - the best time I've ever had at Sentosa. Being with 2 of my fav breeds - huskies and retriever. Ahhh... wonderful day of R&R.

Had a great time tonight too... standing there, near the tranquil water, with the star-studded night sky above us. It was an amazing sight, and it's amazing being there with my greatest love... I love you my darling...
