baby hamsters!
My darling hamster, Baby, has just given birth to 2 adorable little jelly-bean like babies. Not sure when they were born exactly, and though I suspect they were born 2 or 3 days before perhaps, I'm naming today as their date of birth, since I discovered them today. Haha..
I was about to clean out the cage as usual, when I noticed some pink bodies moving in the little orange house, which supposedly is their toilet. Apparently, it's a good delivery room cum nest for the new babies as well. Was so shocked to see the babies, since I wasn't even aware that Baby was pregnant. That explains the splotch of blood I found in the cage when I was cleaning it last week, as well as the biting when I took her out a few days ago. And I noticed that she did get fatter one moment, though I thought she was just putting on weight. Now she's back to her slim and tiny self. Ironic since I told my mom how weird it was that they haven't given birth yet, just this morning. Haha... gee... Came back from MacRitchie, or rather the HSBC Tree Top Walk. Went with Saiful, Suf, and Saiful's cousin. The trek in was more interesting than the Tree Top Walk, I thought. It really was quite anti-climatic, since there wasn't anything really amazing when we were up there. It's just a bridge above the canopies with a loooooong drop down. Spotted a few monkeys in the trees and that's about it. Prefered the estimated 2.5km trek into the trail, as compared to the 250m Tree Top Walk. Gee... next time, I think I'll just explore MacRitchie Reservior instead... it's more interesting and far more rewarding as well... :P |
