no money no buys...

Window shopping with no money, thus no buys, sucks. When you see something you really like and have to control yourself from buying it, that really sucks. Why can't my parents be tycoons so I can spend money and buy everything I want without having to consider?

Went shopping with Saiful today after a depressing and lazy session of rock climbing. Before that, had a pick-me-up at Carl's Junior. I had their Beef Chilli Cheese Fries (beginning to LOVE it cos it reminds me soooo much of Taco Bell's amazing cheese fries! Oh, the memories...) while Saiful had the onion rings. Try it the next time you're at Carl's Junior. Have it with the condiments... mix the salsa sauce and the chunky condiment with the tomato and what not... not sure what that is but the salsa sauce with the chunky bits taste fantabulous!

Went Heeren after that, so that Saiful could check out this pair of Adidas boots that he's been meaning to get. Oh, and he got those great Portugal Nike sneakers... So bloody nice!

It has been a day of painful heartache. Saw so many many many nice things that I can't buy cos I'm trying to save up and not spend unnecessarily. It's an especially tough time window shopping and be down on cash during the GSS, and especially when I see great things that I love.

Firstly, saw this nice big bag from Flash & Splash... a Roxy bag I think. It's black with pink embroided 'Roxy' on it. It looks nice, and it'll be a great bag for me if I get into NIE PESS. Great for all the sports gear, while I still look great with a beautiful bag. Price: $49.90 (This is one which I don't feel passionately about and can do without, but I think it's quite worth it, since it looks great and has great functionality too. But it'll have to wait... wait till I get my letter and know the results of my physical test.)

I've been meaning to buy a pair of flats. No longer will I buy cheap and uncomfortable shoes. I'm looking for a pair that can match almost everything I have. Never under-estimate the power of a nice pair of comfy shoes. Went to URS and there were a couple of nice choices, but nothing amazing that I really hate myself for not buying. (However, something I see later in the night does get me feeling like that... leaving my heart aching... literally.)

Then there was this vintage belt - though it irks me that it's made of croc skin, being the animal lover that I am, it really looks amazing. It's a black croc leather belt, thick and v-shaped when you wear it. It'll be perfect to wear with a dress, or just a long top and jeans. Ah... Price: $59

Went on to shop somemore, and saw this amazing amazing amazing Puma bag that I just ADORE!!! It's white and red, a worn leather sling bag. The design is sooooooooo beautiful, I fell deeply in love for it! It's soooo pretty, and I love how vintage it looks, plus it'll go amazingly well with most of my clothes! Ah!!! But then, reality kicked in as I turned over the tag to look at the price of the bag. Price: $89 Discount: 20% For the benefit of you guys, I've done the math. Final Price: $71.20 This is for a bag that is quite small, but looks amazing, has great compartments inside to keep everything organised (something which I love in a bag). Had to contemplate over it and I did so, for quite some time, in the shop. But I decided for my own benefit, I'd better not splurge on something that expensive, esp after my splurge earlier this month on my Adidas Germany jacket. Haiz... the heartache. Worse still, the sales person told us that it's the first day it's been on sale. So few people have seen it on discount at that time. My heart sank when I had to leave without it, knowing that the bag will be gone tomorrow, purchased by someone who loves that amazing bag as much as, if not more, than I do. Haiz...

As I left that shop with a heavy heart, I went on window shopping. Saw this nice dress at 77th Street. Yes, of all places, the shop where I worshipped as a secondary student and have come to diss as too childish for a grown woman. But this dress was really nice. Had great colours - turquoise, brown, green, blue and mainly white. It's a really girly dress which was really pretty and would look amazing on a petite frame. Price: $99

Next stop, looked at bags and clothes and saw this kinda nice bag. It's designed a bit like an Adidas bag, but the colours were nice - brown, white and black. It would go well with anything, with a colour combi like that; something which I've been looking for. But not over-the-top excited over it. Still trying to recover from my heartpain over the 'loss' of the Puma bag, you see. Price: $39.90

Finally, stopped by a watch shop and spent almost 20 minutes there looking at the beauties there. Love a few that I saw - A Titus metal watch with white face, a black bangle-styled Espirit watch with diamante in place of the hands of the watch, a white Baby G with white straps and white/silver digital face. The Titus watch was on 60% discount. Really thinking whether I should get it, since it's on such a big discount. But among the 3 I like, it's the one I like the least, actually. Price: $225 Discount: 60% Final Price: $90 The Baby G was $100 over... $179, I think. No discount though. The Espirit watch was about the same price too, no discount. Haiz... the comtemplation, the heartache, the temptation. All that nearly killed me.

Despite that, I had a great time with Saiful. He'll definitely make a good boyfriend to a girl who loves shopping, cos he loves shopping too! And he'll give you opinions and will try out stuff willingly and often, which makes it much more fun. Plus, his quirky ideas and infectious giggles make him an even greater companion. Haha...

Ok, here's the estimated great sum, presuming I was a tycoon's offspring and bought everything I saw and wanted to get today. Grand Total: $767 (woah!)
