gullible me

Remember that 'nice and charming' guy i was talking abt in my last entry? well, apparently, he's not all that i thought he is... it really goes to show how gullible and naive i am sometimes... i shld have seen the warning signs, so clearly they were displayed to me, even from the things that came out from his mouth... but being the naive and gullible idiot that i am, of course i didn't realise it...

Until on Sat, Elsie, my colleague at work warned me about him... she told me that he was married with a child and that he often does this - target young and new female employees... she told me to be wary about him... normally i wouldn't have bothered cos i did only go for drinks with him on account of being friendly, but when she told me that he's married, my thoughts became those of how his wife and daughter probably didn't know of his behaviour outside and how he could be such a jackass and do this to his family... and how i could have become his next 'victim'... i was kinda disturbed abt that cos life has been beautiful for me so far and i haven't seen such ugliness or the reality of infidelity till then... it was sort of a wake up call to me... to be more wary of people, esp whom i befriend and whom i shld trust and all... pple come from all walks of life, and not all are nice and whom they appear to be...

Anyways, I'm leaving this job once the month ends... i'm going to be working in a hotel... shift hours, lesser pay, lesser benefits... but one thing's for sure... the hotel promises me more room for progression and better prospects than where i currently am working at... i finally see how having a goal may move and encourage one to move on... i will work hard to accomplish my goal and move my way up from the very bottom...

Adeline's wedding was beautiful... she had on pretty dresses and a lovely sari as the last dress... and they look so happy together... the event was wonderful, with a couple of funnies along the way... got to catch up with a couple of mass commers who attended... it was fun talking abt sch and all again... really miss those days... we went up to the couple's beautiful suit after the dinner and with a few more congratulatory words, we left them alone, finally... haha...

Here's more for the newly wedded couple - all the best to you guys and i'm certain that you'll have a lovely family together, and a lovely life with one another... love is what makes the world go round and as long as u believe in it, everything will go smoothly as long as you have each other... thanks for the lovely evening and the wonderful gift of sharing your happiness and joy with us...
