eye for a guy 2 & gimmick of the year

Eye for a Guy ended this week... for all those who didn't catch it... well, all i can say is that it was much better than the previous season... this season has got several great guys and Denise Keller is a lady suitable for the role - a pretty lady with so many men swooning after her... but i found a slightly over-acting in some parts, as if it was a all scripted and acted out show... but what the hey... good entertainment nonetheless...

I actually shed a tear for Howard when Denise picked Wolfgang over him... i like Howard... he's such a sweet guy... and such a hopeless romantic... but who knows whether he's just gunning it up for the cameras, or whether he's really like that... but he did capture my heart with his actions.. and he does have a certain charm about him, regardless of his lack of height and typical kaboom handsome looks... but he does make up all that with his sweet demeanor and romantic charms... the fairy tale, the notes in the house when she visited, the crooning of the love song in public, sacrificing his face and reputation... haha... and of course, who could forget the video that confessed his love for her... so sweet... even the kiss was such a sweet and spontenous one... awkward, but funny as usual - just as he is... gonna miss seeing that guy on tv...

Was reading in the papers yesterday about how Ubin will be poultry free cos of the bird flu... read that the ostrich there will be house in Jurong Bird Park... so sad... i used to look forward to seeing the ostrich whenever i went there... and now, i'll have to go to the bird park to see it... just like a typical tourist... nothing special about that anymore, now is there? geez... and the uncle whose house we stopped at for about an hour the last time... his peacocks have also been taken away... geez... so sad to think of that... having your own pets, as unique as they are and so unique that no one else in S'pore probably has due to land constraints taken away from you... heartbreaking... Ubin will never be the same without crazed chickens roaming the grounds... as well as the ostrich and peacocks... at least we can still visit the huge boar in the uncle's house...

I was visiting the S'pore National Library's website and came across this - they will be selling bookmarks with chunks of bricks from the now demolished national library @ stamford... a good marketing idea, actually... it's for charity, which is acceptable then... but if they're trying to make money out of it... geez... what a brain to think of this man! talk about the 3Rs! haha...
