the incredible world of wonders

This hearing and speaking-impaired couple came into the store with their daughter, a young toddler, no more than 3. Both of them were signing to each other and when their daughter started to baby talk, i was shocked but delighted. I guess this is the wonder of the incredible world.

I found myself wondering - how will the girl cope with this? How can she constantly live in a world of silence, even though she herself isn't the one who is impaired? What's going through her little head, when people other than her parents can talk to her and all, yet her parents never can. Her parents will never get to hear her voice. Yet i bet her parents are darn thankful that she is as she is and won't mind being unable to hear their child's voice.

The world works in wonderous ways. We should all be thankful for what we have and learn to live with what we're given.
