my first day at work!
Had my first day of work at Country Manna Sun Plaza today... was tiring... reached there at 5pm to learn what i'm supposed to do... the people there are quite nice... there's this girl there called Rebeca... she's very nice... even helped me to sweep the floor come closing and helped us all wash our dishes after we were done eating... we also talked while on the job... haha...
it was tiring mostly because i had to stand the entire time... stood for 4 hours straight... had to clear tables, set the tables, give them their bills... haven't gotten to taking orders yet... have a test on that tmr cos i still have to learn all the abbrevations... haha... wish me luck man... i had to help sweep the floor at closing time too... now i hate working closing... have so much more to do... argh... tmr i'll be mopping the floor... darn... had soup of the day, cream of mushroom and baked potato for dinner there... no problems with the customers today and i find it quite an enjoyment to serve them and all... quite fun to see all these people... many were with kids too... and some of them were just so cute... like there was this boy who came with his parents... i was filling his parents' glasses with water and since the boy's cup was still quite full, i wasn't planning on refilling his... but he held up his glass and asked in Mandarin "what about mine?" and i smiled and laughed at him and filled it up for him... his parents then asked him what he should say and he looked at me and said "jie jie thank you"... so cute! haha... looking forward to see the customers tmr... dun like closing though... argh... dun like dun like... haven't even settled when i'll be working next week... wonder if it's already to late to do that cos they schedule on Thurs... opps... haha... |
